The band formed their very own supporters’ group in 2004, called the Friends Of Stanhope Silver Band (or Fossils), and it has gone from strength to strength now boasting over 60 members.
Stanhope Silver Band set up a friends’ group for four reasons:
- to keep all band supporters fully informed of the band’s activities
- to encourage more people of all ages to come along to band concerts
- to help demonstrate the support the band enjoys from the community
- to help Stanhope Band survive and grow stronger
In return for a subscription members enjoy newsletters throughout the year, providing updates on all band news and planned events; free tickets for the Annual Fossils Concert which will include guest celebrity each year and an invitation to join the band and their guest for a friends’ reception on the evening of the concert. But finally and most importantly knowledge that you are helping to preserve the future of the band for future generations to enjoy.
Memberships are available for individuals, couples and 
families and subscriptions can either be annual or we also provide membership for life. Please see the application form below for specific details and prices.
